Culver City fell 2% below its 16% water reduction target in December. Cumulatively, we’re still doing alright at 17.6% overall water reduction (from June 2015).
We should definitely have done better in December, though.
One of the easiest ways to save water is by reducing outdoor watering. Obviously, irrigation should be off when it rains, but in addition, plants need less water in the winter. Please consider lowering your outdoor irrigation in the winter months, and remember, it will take more than El Niño to solve California’s drought.
